Berita duka untuk seluruh penggemar Naruto. Ninja tangguh dari desa Konoha ini akhirnya menutup mata untuk selamanya. Uzumaki Naruto, demikian nama lengkapnya, meninggal dalam usia yang sangat belia, 15 tahun. Nyawanya tak tertolong akibat luka parah yang didapatnya dalam pertarungan.
Selama hidupnya, Naruto dikenal sebagai ninja yang berdedikasi. Misi-misi yang diembannya hampir selalu sukses, walaupun akhirnya dia babak belur. Kegagalan terbesarnya hanyalah merebut kembali Uchiha Sasuke, mantan rekan satu timnya, dari tangan Orochimaru.
Bagi seorang ninja, mati saat bertugas merupakan kebanggaan tersendiri. Hal ini pula yang terpatri dalam benak Naruto. Dia menyongsong ajalnya saat tengah menjalankan misi.
Sebelum detik kematiannya, Naruto ditugaskan untuk melindungi Shion, miko dari negeri iblis. Shion tengah diincar karena dialah satu-satunya orang yang diharapkan bisa menyegel para iblis yang hendak menghancurkan dunia. Cewek bermata ungu ini memiliki kekuatan untuk membangkitkan iblis yang sudah mati dan meramalkan kematian manusia.
Hari kematian Naruto pun terbaca jelas oleh Shion. Tentu saja ramalan Shion tak ditelan Naruto bulat-bulat. Naruto ogah mati sebelum misinya tuntas. Apalagi, dia masih punya urusan dengan Sasuke dan Orochimaru.
Ramalan Shion akhirnya terbukti. Dalam pertarungan melawan iblis, Naruto kehilangan nyawanya. Haruno Sakura menangis sejadi-jadinya di hadapan nisan sahabatnya itu. Teman-teman Naruto, Hyuuga Neji, Akimichi Chouji, dan Rock Lee, berusaha menenangkan Sakura. Mereka sulit percaya kalau Naruto yang ceria dan urakan bakal pergi secepat itu. Dengan cara yang tragis pula.

Ichigo Kurosaki is a 15 year old with a gift. He has the ability to see ghosts and spirits, and uses it to help the dead with unfinished business. One day, Ichigo meets a Shinigami (Grim Reaper) named Rukia Kuchiki (who is also a member of the mysterious Soul Society) and passes on her powers onto Ichigo in order to save his family.

As Rukia gains a more human form, they discover the supernatural threat of the Hollows, spirits that suck the souls from the living. Together, they solve different cases involving different spirits and the cause of the Hollow’s arrival. However, Rukia is punished for disobeying the rules of the Soul Society. Eventually after saving Rukia, Ichigo becomes a full-fledged member of the Soul Society and thus begins their mission to hunt town and terminate the Hollows.

After coming back from the Soul Society, Ichigo and friends (without Rukia) meet and are attacked by Nova, Rinrin, and Cloud, three other Mod-souls created by Kisuke Urahara (though they don’t know this). After getting them into stuffed animal form, they meet Bountos (or vampires or something like that). They use dolls (like Shinigamis’ zanpakutos) to defeat their enemies and they turn to ashes after they’re killed.

Kakashi had sent the team including Naruto to watch the Funn’s movie as preparation for their next mission: guarding Fujikaze Yukie, the actor who plays Princess Fuun, while she makes the next movie in the Snow Country. As it turns out, Yukie is actually the princess of the Snow Country, which was taken over by rogue ninja when she was a child. The leader of the rogue ninja, Doto Kazahana, wants Yukie’s crystal necklace to unlock the Snow Country’s treasure, which Yukie’s father had hidden before being assassinated. After various battles between Team 7 and the rogue ninja, resulting in the defeat of all and the death of Nadare their leader, Doto succeeds in obtaining Yukie’s necklace, only to discover that the “treasure” of the Snow Country is a generator designed to melt the snow and bring Spring to the country. Doto is then defeated by Naruto in a manner reminicient of Princess Fuun’s defeat of Mao. With the rogue ninja all gone,Yukie becomes the princess of the Snow Country, which will eventually become the Spring Country after the technology behind the generator is perfected.
